Englands leading goal scorer
So Harry Kane is now the leading goal scorer for England, but take away the 18 penalty’s that will put him back down the list. I know you still have to score a penalty but should only goals in open play count which would prove who is the better striker.

Problem with Kane is that he goes down quicker that a 10$ ladyboy in the backstreets of Bangkok

Re: Englands leading goal scorer
deal you've been a bit silly here the 'maybe' was for Shearer.....there a photos of him (Shearer) holding up the Premier League title which he majorly contributed to winning........Kane can't hold up his achievements, but if he had no shame I suppose he could hold up a Golden Boot above his head?

Kane lacks the correct achievements to be deemed 'World Class' he's got very good 0. something stats instead to tell his grand kids about.....

Bit like the old Diego v Messi debate that always kicks off on here I think it comes down to personal opinion as to how you pigeon hole a world class player... I'm fussy... probably a dozen or so in my lifetime... so for me Kane is not in that stratospheric bracket that I class .... but for me he's England's best player and has been for nigh on a decade.. he also owns a pair f Labradors ... he's a good decent bloke even if he is a bagel...

Dont chuck a maybe in there because you are worried what others think.

Kane is World Class.

Swindon, you’ve missed the point. Brooking stepped up to the plate in a European semi final, and an FA Cup Final. That’s what separates the men from the boys.

Re: Englands leading goal scorer
Apart from you trying to change the goal posts on what you were trying to get me caught out on and mugged yourself off with.......

It's not more impressive in Kane's case he sits at a club that is expected to beat those outside the top 6 comfortably and that's where he's got most of his great stats from, he hasn't done half as well against the top clubs in the games when Tottenham reckon they are on par with them, he doesn't win them now where near enough of the crucial games you need to win things in fact he goes missing......he's done the same for England......you then want to pick players like Arnie who was never consistent enough to get near how good Kane is......I'm stating Kane is not getting the right things on his cv to be remembered as World Class.....therefore he has to be put up against those already considered World Class.

World Class players make players around them step up or if they are already in a great team they stand out.....Harry i'm afraid does neither......BUT is still a fantastic player in his position as the stats show.....but up until now not the trophies.....trophies and the winning of supersede all stats and awards....they come after and are purely a bonus.....

Re: Englands leading goal scorer
I’m not trying to relate what deal was saying.

I’m responding to you implying that players joining an already successful club and helping them win more trophies somehow makes them better players than someone who remains at a lesser club and has stats that are just as strong.

If anything it’s more impressive.

As I said earlier if only Arnautovic had 3 or 4 “Geniuses” alongside him at a club that was already successful. Then he could have helped win trophies and been world class as well side!

Side of Ham 8:38 Tue Mar 28
Re: Englands leading goal scorer
No it's not you are just plucking players who have won something......the players deal named were all World Class except maybe Shearer......but even he runs close and he literally played a huge part in Blackburn winning the league.....

.....I couldn't give a fuck what example you are giving it is still not relevant to what deal was trying to say......when comparing to players that are already down as World Class in the eras....

.....carry on squirming to be right on something you was all cocky about then found out you've fucked up.....accept it.....

swindon hammer 8:33 Tue Mar 28
Re: Englands leading goal scorer
Yes it is relevant. You and others keep implying that a benchmark of being a great player is contributing to winning trophies for a team.

I just gave you an example of that not always being the case.

There’s plenty of great players that have really good stats but haven’t won much much in their careers who were capable of playing for better teams and winning trophies.

Brooking is one of them and I believe Kane is another.
